TSTI Policies

Cancellation Policy: If you have to cancel your training, you will be able to use any funds put toward this training to join a future training with Trauma Specialists Training Institute.  We do not offer refunds for training registrations.

Reschedule Policy: We ask that all trainees prioritize this training and do what they can to limit the need for rescheduling. We do, however, understand that sometimes events arise that require you to change training dates. If you require to be switched to a different training date, you will be charged a $100 administrative fee. For trainings consisting of multiple days, this fee will be applied for each training day that needs to be rescheduled. We cannot guarantee you will be able to be placed in a specific training date due to trainer limitations, so you will be added to a waiting list for the next available opening.

Disability Access: If you have a disability that you feel may impede your ability to participate in this training, please contact us at least 3 weeks in advance of the training in order for us to provide reasonable accommodations. We cannot ensure accommodations without adequate prior notification.

Review and Resolution of Complaint: Trauma Specialists Training Institute appreciates your input and the opportunity to address program participant grievances. Grievances may be directed to TSTI by completing this form or by emailing our program administrator, Maria Tryfiates-Dalton, at [email protected].

TSTI Leadership will meet to review and discuss grievances within 72 hours of receipt. Although we do not guarantee a particular outcome, the individual can expect us to consider the complaint, make any necessary decisions and respond within seven business days.

Participants also have a right to issue a complaint with any of the continuing education approval sources connected to our training courses if you feel your rights as a learner have been violated or disrespected. These include but are not limited to the EMDR International Association, the National Board of Certified Counselors, the National Association of Social Workers.

Anti-Discrimination Statement: Trauma Specialists Training Institute stands against discrimination. We believe in acceptance, inclusion, and equality. Discrimination against people based on identity status (e.g., race, ethnicity, gender identity, sex, sexual orientation, ability status, country of origin, religion, age) is harmful and not tolerated. Any hate speech or discriminatory practices will result in immediate removal from our training groups. This includes public statements or behaviors made outside of the trainings themselves.
