Due to the advanced content of this training, Full EMDR Training by an EMDRIA approved provider is required of participants.

After completing this training, participants will be able to: 

1. Participants will be able to describe the neurobiology of trauma.
2. Participants will be able to describe Adaptive Information Processing Theory and how it relates to EMDR reprocessing.
3. Participants will be able to describe the function of Dual Attention Stimulus.
4. Participants will be able to explain Phases 1-8 of EMDR Therapy.
5. Participants will learn at least 3 strategies to address blocked processing.
6. Participants will be able to describe the steps of Future Template.

This training takes place in a lecture format led by an EMDR Basic Trainer and Consultant. This training focuses on review of material covered in EMDR Basic Training, including: AIP Theory, Neurobiology of EMDR, and Phases 1-8 of EMDR Standard Protocol. Full EMDR Training required.

After registration, you will receive a payment confirmation email that will provide you with instructions to access your Trauma Specialists Training Institute (TSTI) library where you'll find the course Zoom meeting link and course resources. Please note, course resources will not be available until the day of training.

Yes, you will need to attend the entire training. Your attendance will be tracked via Zoom. Please keep your webcam on during all live training sessions. This is the equivalent of “being in the room” for an in-person training and is required for continuing education hours.

Trauma Specialists Training Institute, LLC maintains responsibility for all aspects of this program and its content.  

You will receive a certificate of completion after completion of the course, the post course assessment and course evaluation via email. 

There is no recording of the live event available to participants in lieu of attendance and all participant information is confidential.

EMDR Basic Training Refresher will be brought to you by Jamie Sedgwick, LCPC, NCC. Jamie is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor and has worked in the mental health field for 10 years. She has experience with a wide range of issues including PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief and behavioral issues. She has interest in working with teens (age 15+) and adults. She specializes in Borderline Personality Disorder, attachment and complex PTSD with a passion for helping individuals learn and incorporate healthy skills to create a life worth living. She is trained in DBT and Neurofeedback and is EMDR certified.

If you have to cancel your training, you will be able to use any funds put toward this training to join a future training with Trauma Specialists Training Institute.  We do not offer refunds for training registrations.
