EMDR Basic Training Refresher

After completing this training, participants will be able to:

Participants will be able to describe the neurobiology of trauma.

Participants will be able to describe Adaptive Information Processing Theory and how it relates to EMDR reprocessing.

Participants will be able to describe the function of Dual Attention Stimulus.

Participants will be able to explain Phases 1-8 of EMDR Therapy.

Participants will learn at least 3 strategies to address blocked processing.

Participants will be able to describe the steps of Future Template.

This training takes place in a virtual lecture format. This training focuses on review of material covered in EMDR Basic Training, including: AIP Theory, Neurobiology of EMDR, and Phases 1-8 of EMDR Standard Protocol. Full EMDR Training required.

After registration, you will receive a payment confirmation email that will provide you with instructions to access to your Trauma Specialists Training Institute (TSTI) library where you'll find the course Zoom meeting link and course resources. Please note, course resources will not be available until the day of training.

Trauma Specialist Training Institute has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 7268. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Trauma Specialists Training Institute is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs. NBCC Clock Hours: 5.

Trauma Specialists Training Institute is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. Trauma Specialists Training Institute maintains responsibility for this program and its content. CE: 5 Credits

Trauma Specialists Training Institute is approved by the EMDR International Association to offer EMDRIA Credit for this program. The provider maintains responsibility for the program. Approval #20014-32. 5 EMDRIA Credits.

You will receive a certificate of completion after completion of the course, the post course assessment and course evaluation via email.

There is no recording of the live event available to participants in lieu of attendance and all participant information is confidential.

EMDR Basic Training Refresher will be brought to you by Sarah Martin, LCPC, NCC. Sarah is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the State of Maryland and a Board Certified Counselor (through NBCC). Sarah has over 8 years of experience working in the mental health field. Sarah has extensive experience working with diverse individuals of all ages and families who have experienced trauma. She is passionate about helping individuals cope with medical trauma as well as helping families navigate adoption and the foster care system. Sarah is trained in EMDR, Neurofeedback, and offers Alpha-Stim treatment.

If you’ve lost your Certificate of Completion from a course you attended with us, you may request a digital replacement.

CE Documentation Support (for submission to your local/state board)

Trauma-Informed Training: $10

Advanced EMDR Trainings: $10

EMDR Basic Training: $25

You will receive your digital replacement document via email within 10 business days of your order.

Important: If you request a replacement Certificate of Completion from Trauma Specialists Training Institute but did not attend training with us, your payment will be applied toward administrative research and will not be refunded.

Notes About EMDRIA Certification Letters

We are currently reviewing the process for requesting consultant letters for EMDRIA Certification and working to streamline this process.

At this time, participants are encouraged to contact their consultants directly, using the contact information provided in the EMDR Circle Dashboard. No fees apply to first time documentation requests.
