An Attachment-Informed Approach to EMDR Therapy
with Rachel Harrison, LCPC, NCC & Jamie Sedgwick, LCPC, NCC
Feel nervous about using EMDR with early attachment trauma? This training gives you a framework for understanding attachment across the developmental lifespan and adapting EMDR's 8 phases for clients with inadequate attachment histories — both children/adolescents and adults.
Attachment Trauma Requires a Different Approach to Every Phase
Standard EMDR protocols assume adequate early attachment. When that foundation is missing, clinical decisions change at every phase. This training gives you a developmental framework for attachment across the lifespan, then walks through what to adjust in Phases 1-8 for both children and adults with inadequate attachment histories. You will leave knowing what to look for and what to do differently.
